Emberkite: Mini Golf Privacy policy

Emberkite: Mini Golf privacy policy

Effective date: 25 October 2026 · Terms of use

Emberkite: Mini Golf (“the app”) is an isometric mini-golf game made by Emberkite (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have.

The short version

Information stored only on your device

Your best scores (the full course and the daily challenge), holes played, settings (sound, haptic feedback and reduce effects) and ad pacing counters (holes since the last ad, time of the last ad, number of sessions) are stored on your phone. They may be included in your device’s standard Android backup, which you and Google control.

Signing in

Sign-in is with your Google account through Firebase Authentication. The same Google sign-in can be used by other Emberkite games, such as Brain Snap, but Mini Golf keeps its own separate account: your Mini Golf username, avatar, photo, friend code, friends and scores are separate from any other Emberkite game, and Mini Golf doesn’t read or change another game’s data.

Information collected if you use the friends features

If you sign in, we store the following in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore (Australia region), plus your sign-in in Firebase Authentication:

DataWhy we use it
A random account ID (Firebase user ID)To identify your account.
Your email addressHeld by Firebase Authentication to sign you in. It’s never shown to other players or stored in your Mini Golf profile.
Username and chosen avatarShown to other signed-in players on leaderboards, friends lists, friend requests and challenges.
Optional profile photo (only if you upload one)Shown instead of your avatar. The app crops and shrinks it on your phone before upload. You can remove it at any time in Friends › Profile.
Your Google account’s profile photo linkShown as your picture if you haven’t uploaded one. We store only the link Google provides. You can hide it at any time in Friends › Profile.
Friend codeSo friends can add you with your code or an invite link.
Friends, friend requests and players you’ve blockedTo provide the friends feature. Only you can see your block list.
Daily and park scores (strokes per hole, total, par and date, with your username and avatar)To show leaderboards. Only your best score is kept for each.
Friend challenges and results (the holes, weather and seed, both players’ names, avatars and scores, status and time)To run a challenge between two friends on the same holes. Only the two players can see it.
Reports you make about another player (the reason, optional details, their username and both account IDs)To moderate offensive names or photos and cheating. Other players can’t read reports.

Who can see it: leaderboards show your username, avatar (or photo) and scores to signed-in players. Anyone who enters your friend code or opens your invite link can see your username and avatar. Only the people involved can see a friend request or a challenge. Only you can see your block list. Only Emberkite can see reports.

Service providers and third parties

Mini Golf doesn’t currently offer in-app purchases.

Ads and the advertising ID

Mini Golf shows ads from Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK): an occasional full-screen ad between holes or rounds, never while you’re putting. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:

Google uses this to deliver, measure and protect ads and, only where you allow it, to personalise them. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies and identifiers in advertising.

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland, and some US states): where the law requires it, Mini Golf uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to ask for your choice before any ads load. You can change it at any time in Settings › Ad privacy choices. If you don’t consent to personalised ads, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads.

Your advertising ID: you can reset or delete it, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings (usually Settings › Privacy › Ads or Settings › Google › Ads).

Ads aren’t aimed at children. Mini Golf tells Google that its users are not under the age of consent and that it isn’t directed to children, and it limits ad content to a PG rating.

How long we keep information

Your choices and deleting your data

Children

Mini Golf is intended for people aged 13 and over and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Players under 13 shouldn’t use the friends features. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at support@emberkite.com.au and we’ll delete it.

Security

Data sent between the app and our service providers is encrypted in transit (TLS). Online data is protected by server-side security rules so that only you can change your own data. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and keep what we collect to a minimum.

We don’t sell your data

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use an analytics SDK.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, we’ll note it in the app’s store listing or in the app.
